Dr. Lori Koerner dedicated over three decades to public education, spending the first 26 years of her career as an elementary school teacher, having taught every grade. She went on to serve as Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, Principal, and Adjunct Professor of Special Education at several universities in New York. A Fulbright Specialist Scholar, Dr. Koerner's career has been defined by her commitment to whole-child education, emphasizing social-emotional development alongside academic success.
Now in her encore career, Dr. Koerner is focused on sharing her knowledge and experiences to inspire others through motivational speaking, writing, and consulting. She is the author of four books—two for children and two for adults—each reinforcing messages of confidence, kindness, leadership, and empowerment. Her adult titles, Actually, I Can: Inspiration, Empowerment and Leadership and Secrets from the Other Side of the Table: How to Rock Your Interview and Land the JOB!, provide practical strategies for personal and professional growth. Her children's books, centered on a character named Rosie, instill the values of self-confidence, friendship, and inclusivity—lessons that benefit all ages.
Dr. Koerner has written extensively for national publications and has presented across the country and internationally on innovation in education.
